August 15 is National Relaxation Day, and we can’t think of a better way to celebrate than with a special pop-up Restorative Yoga class with Mi Han Chiu.
Restorative Yoga is a gentle and nurturing practice designed to provide deep relaxation. It offers a blissful escape from the demands of everyday life. Mi Han will hold space for you to pause, breathe, and reflect, leaving you refreshed and renewed!
In our fast-paced lives, finding moments of true relaxation is a precious gift we can offer ourselves. National Relaxation Day is a reminder to slow down, unplug, and reconnect with the infinite source of peace within.
Make Time For Relaxation
It’s important to have moments of rest and relaxation every day, not just on National Relaxation Day. Here are a few tips to help you achieve that:
-
- Morning Mindfulness: Instead of reaching for your mobile phone when you wake up in the morning, engage in some moments of mindfulness. Sit quietly with your eyes closed and focus on your breathing.
- Go Outside: Spend a few minutes in nature, whether it’s a leisurely stroll through the park on your lunch hour, placing your bare feet on grass, or practicing yoga outdoors.
- Digital Detox: Disconnect from screens and devices for at least an hour before you go to bed. Create space for uninterrupted relaxation.
- Pamper Yourself: Treat yourself to a luxurious bath, a soothing cup of herbal tea, or a nourishing self-massage.
Restorative Yoga Pop Up Class
Mi Han Chiu’s special pop up class will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 11:00 AM.
Normally, that’s when she teaches her Gentle Yoga class. But she is shifting gears for National Relaxation Day.
During this class, you will be guided through a series of soothing and fully supported postures using an array of props such as bolsters, blankets, and blocks. These props cradle your body in comfort, encouraging a profound release of tension and stress.
