The 411 On Momence

We’re just a few weeks away from switching to a new scheduling software, Momence, to help run our studio operations.

In order to make the transition as easy and simple for you as possible, we will import your bookings, memberships & class packs, and credit card information into Momence.  All you’ll have to do is activate your Momence account when our switch becomes official on August 1.

For the most part, the user experience will remain largely the same.  You will still be able to easily book classes and check your account via our website.  We also believe Momence is a more reliable platform that is less prone to errors, with better resources to support a busy studio like Living Yoga.

But you should also expect some big changes, and here are some of the more important ones:



One of the biggest changes is that we’ll be introducing a new Liability Waiver.  This is the legal document everyone must agree to prior to participating in our classes and programs.  The waiver explains the inherent risks involved in practicing yoga, and releases the studio of any liability.


Currently, when you purchase a class pack, credit card fees are added on. If you purchase a membership, the credit card fees are taken out of your total payment.  Under Momence, credit card fees (equal to roughly 3% of the purchase price) will be added on to both class packs and monthly membership payments.


To avoid credit card fees, you can set up ACH payments for your membership or class pack payments.  This means the funds will be electronically withdrawn directly from your bank account, rather than paid with a credit card. The processing fee for ACH payments is $0.


Members will continue to enjoy free access to our On Demand Library as part of their memberships.  Unfortunately, Momence does not allow class packs to be used for video content.  Non-members will need to make an additional purchase to access the On Demand Library.


Current members will not see any rate changes.  However, you will be required to agree to a new membership agreement if you wish to continue your membership.  The new agreement provides more details about our responsibilities to you, and vice versa.  If you don’t want to agree to this new document, please cancel your existing membership and we will waive any applicable cancellation fees.


Members will no longer need to send us an email whenever they need to purchase extra in-person classes.  Instead, they will be able to purchase the discounted Member Drop In directly when they book a class.


Class pack holders can make their packs shareable with members of their immediate family.  Just send us the names of the people you want to give access to your class packs, and we’ll set it up for you.


With Momence, Living Yoga will have a new, dedicated 2-way SMS line.  You’ll be able to contact us via text message.


The current My Living Yoga mobile app will be discontinued and replaced with the Momence app. This new app allows you to make purchases, view the on demand library, book classes, and update your account.  You can also contact us directly through the Momence app, which comes with an inbox and allows you to leave feedback on a Living Yoga newsfeed.


We’re excited about switching to Momence because it gives us the tools to better serve our community. As we get to August 1, keep an eye on your inbox for more information and updates.
