There is an old saying that what you do on the first day of the year sets the tone for everything that follows. Instead of rushing through another noisy countdown or scrolling past midnight, imagine beginning the year grounded, clear, and deeply present in your body.
This New Year’s Eve, we invite you to step into 2026 with intention through a special midnight yoga and meditation experience. As the year turns, we gather not to escape or numb, but to arrive fully. Breath by breath. Moment by moment.
This is an evening designed for those who want more than resolutions scribbled in haste. It is for anyone who senses that how we cross a threshold matters.
A Practice That Carries You Across the Year
This is a mindful 90-minute guided journey that balances energy and ease, using mantras, pranayama, gentle asanas and yoga nidra. Mantras are sounds and vibrations that help to clear energy channels and steady the mind. Pranayama (also known as breath work) settle the nervous system and is also used to regulate the flow of prana or life force throughout the body.
Meanwhile, yoga poses stretch and strengthen the body while helping us release what no longer serves us. And yoga nidra is a deeply practice that allows the body to rest and recover while the mind remains quietly alert.
At midnight, we pause together for a guided meditations that will allow us consciously set intentions for 2026. No rushing. No pressure. Just a clear, grounded moment of turning the page and preparing for the year ahead.
We close the night with a celebratory non-alcoholic toast, honoring the simple joy of beginning again with awareness.
Why Begin the Year This Way?
Yoga reminds us that transitions are powerful. Dusk and dawn. Inhale and exhale. Endings and beginnings. New Year’s Eve holds that same liminal energy, a rare moment when reflection and possibility meet.
Starting the year on the mat allows intention to be felt, not just thought. It becomes embodied. Something you can return to when life inevitably speeds up again.
