Studio Policies

Introduction

Hey there!

This page describes the policies currently in effect at the studio.  By registering for our offerings and creating an account with us, you affirm that you have read and understand these policies and agree to abide by them.

If you have any questions about these terms or need further information, please call or email us. We look forward to serving you.

1.  Refunds

All sales are final. Purchases may be exchanged for studio credit at the sole discretion of Living Yoga. Refunds will only be issued in the case of error by the studio or its agents. Eligible refunds do not include any payments made for services or benefits already received.

2.  Schedule & Other Changes

Our schedule, classes, workshops, teachers, prices, products and studio policies are subject to changes and cancellations at any time. We will publicize those changes in a timely manner whenever feasible. Please check our website and our social media accounts for the latest information about our schedule, rates and offerings.

3.  Booking Ahead

We encourage you to book your class or event in advance whenever possible. If you show up for a class or workshop that is at full capacity, we may not be able to admit you if you don’t already have a reservation.

4. Cancelling Your Reservation

If you cancel your reservation, the session will be credited back to your account so you can reuse it for something else.

Reservations may be cancelled by:

    • Logging into your account
    • Using the Momence app to cancel your reservation
    • Calling the studio
    • Sending us an email

5. Late Cancellations & No Shows

Late Cancellations are subject to a $10 fee.  A late cancellation is any class booking that is cancelled less than 2 hours before its start time.

No Shows are subject to a $20 fee.  A no show is when you don’t show up to a class you have booked.

For workshops and special events, the late cancellation window is 24 hours and the fee is $10.  The No Show fee is $20.

For private yoga sessions, the late cancellation window is 24 hours and the fee is $20.  The No Show fee is $25.

6. Wait List & Standby

When a class or workshop is full, additional participants may add their name to the Wait List.  You must have an active membership or class pack in order to join the Wait List.

Whenever a space opens up, the person at the top of the Wait List will automatically be registered for the event.  They will also receive a booking confirmation email.  Automatic Wait List promotion stops 1 hour before class.

Alternatively, you can come to the studio before the class or event and be on standby.  We start giving away spots belonging to no-shows 5 minutes after the class or event starts.

If you are waitlisted for a class but can no longer attend, you should remove yourself from the Wait List before you get automatically booked for the class.  Otherwise, you will be liable for any applicable late cancellation or no show fees.

7. Lateness

Whenever you are running late, please call us and we will do our best to accommodate you.

If you are more than 5 minutes late to a class that is full, you may forfeit your spot to someone waiting on standby.

If you are more than 10 minutes late to any class or event, for your safety, you will not be allowed to join.

8. Physical Adjustments

Everyone in our studio has the right to autonomy over their own body.  When you check-in for a class, workshop or private session, you will be given a physical adjustment consent chip. With this chip, you may choose whether or not you will allow your teacher to physically adjust you during the class.

9. Mobile Phones & Personal Electronic Devices

You are welcome to take selfies or other photos and videos before and after your class or workshop, provided you do not create a disturbance to others.  You must also obtain permission from everyone appearing in the photo or video.

Once class starts, however, all phones and electronic devices must be turned off or on silent mode, and put away.  You may not use your devices during class.

10. Recording Classes & Workshops

Many of our classes and workshops are also simultaneously livestreamed.  Some of these recordings are then saved and later added to our On Demand Library.  Only Living Yoga Members and paying clients have access to these videos.

From time to time, Living Yoga staff or its agents will take photos and videos during classes and workshops for use on the studio’s website, social media accounts, and marketing materials.

You provided us with your consent to appear in these videos and materials when you agreed to our Yoga Waiver Agreement.

11. New Student Memberships

Only “new students” are eligible for a New Student Membership.  A “new student” is someone who is brand new to the studio and has never taken a class or workshop.

Once you’ve taken a class or workshop with us, you are no longer considered a “new student.”  This includes people who have not been to the studio for quite some time.

Our New Student Membership comes with all our regular member benefits, except:

    • monthly guest passes
    • complimentary mat storage (subject to space availability)
    • membership holds

These benefits become available once a New Student Membership renews for the first time.

12.  Membership Holds

In the event of travel, injury or other medical condition, Living Yoga Members may put their Memberships on hold for up to 30 days.  This period may be longer in the event of extenuating circumstances.

During the hold period, Members will not be billed nor will they be allowed to use the Membership to take classes.

Once the hold period ends, Members will regain use of their Membership. Their billing date will also be pushed back by the same number of days as the hold period.

To request a hold:

    • send your request via email at least 7 days in advance
    • provide the start date and end date of your hold.

If you don’t know when you are coming back, we will automatically set it for 30 days. Once you know your return date, please let us know so we can adjust your hold accordingly.

13.  Membership Cancellation

All our Memberships are month-to-month and may be cancelled at any time.

Please note:  Memberships that are cancelled within 3 months of sign up are subject to a $50 cancellation fee.  This fee is waived if:

    • you are terminating during the first Term of a New Student Membership
    • you are switching to a different membership
    •  you are switching to a class pack

To cancel your Membership, you may:

14.  Guest Passes

Members may use 2 guest passes every billing month.  Unless the guest is a minor, members do not need to take the same class as their guest.

Please note:  guest passes are not available during the first month of New Student Trial Memberships.

To request a guest pass, please send us an email with the following information:

    1. the name of your guest
    2. the guest’s email address
    3. the guest’s phone number
    4. the class the guest would like to take

15.  Expired Class Packs

Expired class packs may be reactivated for a fee of $5 per unusued class. Call or email the studio to request a reactivation.

16.  Minors

With the exception of classes and programs offered specifically for children, participants in Living Yoga classes and workshops must be at least 16 years old. They also must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian who is taking the class with them.

Parents or legal guardians must sign liability waivers on behalf of all minors.

Hand Hygiene:  We have placed hand sanitizer stations throughout the studio.  Please remember to wash visibly soiled hands with soap and water.

Shared Props:  If you are unable to bring your own props to class, we have rental towels and mats, as well as communal props. Please clean all used items after class with our cleaning spray, and place dirty linens in the hampers.
