Living Yoga’s owner, Joneil Adriano, was a featured guest this week on “Studio Sessions,” the IG Live broadcast produced by NY Yoga+Life magazine. He was invited by Iana Velez, the magazine’s editor in chief, to discuss his experience as a yoga studio owner in the midst of a global pandemic.
Joneil described how he had a head start in offering online yoga classes because he had anticipated that COVID-19 would force him to shut down the studio. He added that Living Yoga weathered the worst of the pandemic through the support of its dedicated teachers and community of yogis.
With Living Yoga facing an uncertain future, Joneil described the meditation technique that gave him clarity through the fog. He also said that being nimble, embracing new technologies, and thinking quickly on his feet — skills he acquired in his prior career in television news — helped him navigate the massive social upheaval of the last two years.
