about living yoga
an urban oasis
Whether you’re brand new to yoga or have been practicing for many years, Living Yoga is here to nurture and develop your practice. Our studio fosters introspection, connection, and spiritual growth. Every day, we gather in a sanctuary that is safe and serene.
In 2009, Rei Farid, a lawyer by training, decided to leave her law practice behind to open a yoga studio. It was a decision motivated by 3 of yoga’s main tenets: love, truth and breath.
From those humble seeds, a vibrant and diverse spiritual community sprouted and grew into what is now known as Living Yoga. After committing a decade of her life to the studio, Rei stepped down and handed the keys to Living Yoga to Joneil Adriano in May 2019.
Joneil first joined Living Yoga as a student in 2015 and later became one of its teachers. Much like Rei did 10 years earlier, Joneil took a leap of faith out of the corporate world to Living Yoga’s mission to help people find healing, transformation and inner peace.
Today, the studio remains committed to offering traditional yoga practices that are responsive to modern needs. We Om, we chant, we meditate and we flow. We live and breathe yoga.
Yoga is a practice of unity and love.
Living Yoga is a welcoming, respective, and inclusive sanctuary.
We embrace people of all races, cultures, languages, religious and spiritual beliefs, gender identities, sexual orientations, abilities, sizes, ages and backgrounds.
We come together out of love, empathy, devotion, compassion, a desire to serve others, and a thirst for knowledge.
We reject violence, abuse, harassment, intimidation, degradation and discrimination against any member of our community.
We commit — through our thoughts, words and actions — to help all beings everywhere be happy and free from suffering.
I am you. You are me.
So Hum. Hum Sa.
