For deeper backbends, stronger core, and releasing tension in hips and shoulders
Saturday, Sept. 14
Introduction to basic yoga poses, pranayama, philosophy & terminology
A diverse series of postures practiced in a heated room (up to 105º F). The heat helps make muscles more limber and flexible, improves circulation, and encourages the body to sweat out impurities. Bring lots of water and a towel because you will get drenched!
A challenging and dynamic mixed-level class for those who like to twist, turn, bend backwards and go upside down. Build strength, stamina, and flexibility as you transition from one pose to another. You’ll feel like a kid again.
At 95° F, the room is not as hot as during our Hot Yoga classes, but you'll still get many of the benefits. This 75 minute practice is great for those who are curious about Hot Yoga but may feel a little intimidated by the intense heat.
A gentler practice that packs many of the benefits of our vinyasa classes into 60 minutes. Perfect for those who work nearby and need an extra boost of energy for the rest of the day.
Foundational postures and techniques you will return to again and again during your yoga practice. Mastering them is the key to unlocking more advanced asanas. This class isn’t just for beginners — experienced students will benefit too! Flexibility not required.
Yin Yoga uses body weight and gravity to ease into postures. Long holds target the body’s deep connective tissues. This class will begin with slow, introspective Yin postures before moving into a steady vinyasa flow.
A mix of Yin and Restorative Yoga (using props like blankets, bolsters and eye pillows to support and stabilize the body), followed by Yoga Nidra (a guided meditation done while lying down). These three gentle and therapeutic practices calm the mind and nervous system, and reset the body.
This class is the perfect balance between movement and rest.It begins with a vinyasa flow sequence that creates internal heat, then transitions into a sweet Restorative practice. Your mind, body and soul will be grateful.
A mixed-level vinyasa class that makes yoga accessible to all income levels. A cash donation (suggested minimum $10) is collected at the door and given to the teacher. Please note: this class is not included in Living Yoga memberships or passes.
